Handcrafted Metal and Fossil Jewelry by Beth Tivol
After many years of working as a Mad Scientist, I began selling my jewelry at art and craft shows. I prefer to use unusual stones and materials; my fossil and meteorite jewelry is my most obvious means of keeping in touch with my Inner Geek.  I enjoy integrating the beautiful with the unusual or whimsical.  If my work makes you think or smile, I've achieved my goal.
Have you ever wished you could invite someone up to show them your etchings?  I am offering a metal etching workshop at RAM’s Wustum museum on Saturday, Feb. 4th. There you will learn how to use a variety of different resists to create your own pieces in copper and brass. After class, turn them into finished jewelry, tiles, doodads, or patterned plates for making impressions in PMC or clay. To register, go to http://www.ramart.org/content/etching . It’s sure to be a fun day, come with a friend!

This month Lemon Street Gallery is having their annual Warehouse Sale.  The artists have cleaned out their studios to start the year out fresh, and you can take advantage of great art at deep discounts!  Come on by January 4th-29th.
